World History Word Wall

This school year, I have been creating a word wall for the world history team on my campus. Each unit I use the vocabulary to create the word wall and I add images and a pronunciation guide. Teachers use the word wall to pre-teach vocabulary and reference during the unit.

Novel Storyboard

This novel storyboard can be used with any novel and is recommended for secondary ELA. It gives instructions in both English and Spanish and can be scaffolded further by giving sentence stems to students. Use it at the end of a chapter or end of the whole novel.

Chemistry Writing Scaffold

Writing helps students process learning regardless of content area. Help your ELLs with their writing by adding sentence stems and a word bank for support. The content based word bank also ensures that your native language speakers are using academic vocabulary in their writing too.

Geometry Visual Vocabulary

For our geometry team, I created a visual vocabulary assignment for their English language learners. By using visuals and simplified defintions, we increase the comprehensible input for our students.
